I would like to thank everyone who joined Skills Build Forum 5 on April 22. I would also like to thank our presenters, Emile McGlone (Mujeres, BEE & Peaceboat) and Chiho Shibayama and Toru Naito, (Multicultural Center, Tokyo) for their time and commitment. Participants were very excited to hear from our panelists and in the afternoon we all joined the community organizing workshop. We had a small but very passionate group. March events of note:
It was great to see so many people join the March 29 event
co-sponsored by PSC, RBR and DAJ. The Iraqi film was moving and gave
us a view of the complex issues facing Iraqis on a daily basis.
We were also lucky to have Nahoko Takato join us and share her work
and experience in Iraq. We raised over 54,000 yen to support the
sending of desks, chairs and school supplies to Iraqi children.
