On April 1st,2013 the Japanese Government revised
the Labor Contract Law.
A major revision to the Law is a five-year rule for workers employed under a fixed-term labor contract. This rule will require employers to then convert such contracts to no-term ones, as is the practice among regular company employees.The official interpretation of this is that the amendment will lead to greater job security for workers.
This has created a lot of ambiguous interpretations on behalf of several institutions and organisations; as well as, to the people it will effect ( contract workers).
To give employees a better understanding of what this all means, Tozen Union ( Zenkoku Ippan Tokyo General Union ) will holding a 3hr seminar on this new amendment.
The main presenters will be: Tozen's Attorney ,Shoichi Ibusuki:Executive President/Advocate, Hifumi Okunuki:General Secretary,Louis Carlet.

the Yokosuka Line) at 12:00 noon. From Yokohama Station, take the 11:24AM Yokosuka
Line train (towards Zushi). This arrives at Kamakura at 11:52AM. Lunch at Zushi Beach and do a garbage cleanup. Please bring gloves
for picking up slimy, stinky things. As a special treat, at 4pm, we'll watch a
performance by the Bantus Japan School of Capoeira at the Brazilian bar
Piquelinhos on Zushi beach!

Issues English Class - Earthquakes (Precautions & Assistance)
A monthly JAMBO International Environmental/Social
Issues English Class. Like with other JAMBO International events, half of the
fees will be given to the charity of the month, so you can learn English, learn
(and talk) about a current issue, and help the cause (which is discussed) all
at the same time. This month’s collection will be donated to TERP LONDON Tohoku Earthquake Relief Project,
helping the people become self-reliant and build strong community.
The cost is 2000 yen per person and attendance is
limited to 12. Reservations will be taken on a first come, first serve basis
(by writing to jambodave@green.email.ne.jp)
. The class is held at JAMBO school in MonzenNakacho.
Afterwards, we will have a social hour in JAMBO School with the
participants who want to join, so you are welcome to buy food and drink
beforehand, or go out to a nearby store to get some with David after the class.

We will also look at particular case studies highlighting innovative fundraising techniques. The workshop will include a combination of lecture, discussion and group exercises with the expectation that each person will come out with some new ideas and plans. Participants will work in groups to create fundraising plans. Participants with diverse experience are welcome to join, but this workshop is not aimed at fundraising professionals as it is an introductory course.
