Thank you for supporting our April production of SEVEN!
I appreciate the emails so many of you sent us about the production.
Many have asked me about the next performances because every performance
was sold out. I am still considering how to maintain the momentum
started with SEVEN and will be sure to let you know about upcoming
productions.
Thank you to everyone who spent Feb through April with us working to make the production such a memorable experience.
A big shout out to Rodger Sono and John Matthews for the photos and PR !!!
In case you missed these Rodger also created two promo videos, introducing some of the cast members https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnLBfJX4NG4&nohtml5=False
and a behind the scenes rehearsal video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcJOqoiQsLI&nohtml5=False&spfreload=5
With your help we raised 346,224 yen for Resilience. Your donation will
be put to use to conduct Art Therapy programs for children from abusive
homes and to support thier Women's Program supporting domestic violence
survivors. Find our more about Resilience at http://resilience.jp/

TOMODACHI Women's Leadership program
|
The
TOMODACHI Initiative MetLife Women's Leadership program is looking for
mentors for this year's session. The program is a 10-month program for
highly-motivated female Japanese university students to develop their
leadership skills. The initial session will take place on September 9th
in Tokyo (for the full schedule of sessions, please click here).
This mentor opportunity is aimed at mid-level career women and is a
chance for those interested to hone their leadership skills, network
with other professional women, and have a huge positive impact on
university-age Japanese women who are future leaders. The ideal
candidate would have about 9 years of professional experience and speak
English.
TOMODACHI is recruiting women based in Tokyo, Osaka, Naha, and Sapporo.
The mentors are responsible for attending four leadership training
sessions (one in September, October, December, and February) and the end
of year conference in Tokyo, likely in May, and building a mentor
relationship with a university student participant that we pair them
with. It is free of charge and TOMODACHI provides dinner during the
training sessions.
If you are interested in applying to become a mentor, please click on the following link for more details: http://usjapantomodachi.org/2016/04/19203/
The deadline for mentor applications for Tokyo, Osaka, and Naha is July 11. TOMODACHI is still accepting both mentor and mentee applications from those based in Sapporo through August 1.
