You are all invited to to join us on Friday Jan 17, at 7:30 for a night of networking, sharing and planning for 2020. This will also be a great chance for people wanting to get more involve in 2020 to meet new people doing good works.

In this course participants will develop skills and knowledge required to develop and manage projects. The contents will be based on the systems used by different international development agencies. The course starts with the key elements of project preparation including Community assessment & problem assessment, goal setting, project selection, and project approaches and implementation. In the final session, methods for monitoring and evaluation as well as budgeting will be discussed. This course is for anyone interested in creating projects to deal with social issues.

JAM - The Japan Alliance of (Conflict) Mediators - Call for conflicts to mediate.
Saturday Feb 8, 2pm
Might you have a conflict JAM can help you deal with? JAM provides services that empower participants to actively engage in constructive dialogue in order for them to develop sustainable solutions to the problem the bring forth. On Saturday Feb 8, from 2pm JAM will be using their skills to help mediate your real every day interpersonal conflict.

10-part monthly series starts in Feb aimed at skills development and networking.
Themes for 2020: presenting your nonprofit, fundraising events, grant prpospoals, online fundraising, elevator pitch, the role of ambassadors, getting the right volunteers, and more!!
Fee: 1500yen per session (500yen for students)

Amnesty International monthly Quiz Night for Human Rights

Amnesty International Tokyo English Network (AITEN*) invites you to a fun event with serious aims: answer general knowledge questions to show what you know for prizes, maybe learn a few things (especially about human rights and current affairs), meet a multinational crowd of like-minded people, and  support AI's work promoting and protecting human rights for all.
¥1,000 per person to play.  Up to five members on a team. Prizes for the winning teams!  If you don't have a team, we'll help you to find or make one.

Spring 2020 Lifeline Support Worker Training
If you’re starting to think about things you want to try or ways to grow and develop in 2020 - maybe the Lifeline Support Worker training is what you’re looking for. A 69 hour intensive program teaching you listening skills and how to support someone in need, this is a great opportunity for personal and professional development while also giving back to the English speaking community in Japan. The “in class” part of the training is scheduled to run from February 29th - May 23rd and is provided online so you can join from anywhere in Japan. There are 3 mandatory sessions on Saturdays, (Feb 29th; Apr 11th and May 23rd) which are offered online and also in person for those in the Kanto area.

Golfing for Good - Jarman International Charity Cup
