Tuesday, November 8
Polaris Project will host our first-ever international symposium on human trafficking. The symposium will provide a forum in which experts and officials from Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and the United States can intensively dicuss their experiences with existing anti-human trafficking measures and programs. We hope to reinvigorate the discussions on combating human trafficking in Japan, and to empower government officials, NGOs, and citizens to re-think our approaches to this issue.
The symposium will feature keynote speeches followed by a panel discussion, which will be open to the public. In the late afternoon, there will be a closed session to allow Japanese officials and experts to be able to discuss issues in more depth.
The final guest list is being confirmed now, but look out for details on our website and in the Polaris Post! For more information, contact: Polaris Project Japan Office by E-mail: info@polarisproject.jp
